About the Job
In this role, you combine operational, commercial, and coordinating responsibilities within international ocean freight. You manage the full transport process from A to Z and act as the key link between internal teams and external partners. In addition, you lead a team and ensure structure, overview, and continuous process optimization.
The position is based in Breda, so you are willing to commute to this location on a daily basis.
Your Responsibilities
- Coordinate international deep-sea shipments (cross-trade)
- Maintain contact and negotiate with shipping lines, forwarders, and suppliers
- Book and follow up shipments until delivery
- Manage and verify export documentation (B/Ls, L/Cs, Incoterms)
- Analyze rates and optimize transport flows
- Report to purchasing and sales teams
- Lead and support a team (5 FTE)
- Contribute to and implement improvements in operational processes
Your Profile
Your Profile
- 3 to 5 years of experience as a freight forwarder (deep sea), ready for the next step
- Strong operational and commercial mindset
- Experience with international transport within a trading environment is a plus
- Good command of English (required); additional languages are an asset (Dutch not required)
- Proactive, assertive, and strong communicator
- Able to build relationships and identify opportunities
- Strong organizational skills and sense of responsibility
- Flexible mindset (willing to commute to Breda; international environment with multiple time zones)

- Gross salary between €4,000 and €6,000 (depending on experience)
