About the Job
Would you like to join a European organization that plays a key role in shaping the future of the chemical industry? Our client is looking for an Assistant to support the activities of the Specialty Chemicals sector.
In this role, you will provide administrative, organisational and communication support to the Sector Group Manager. You will also interact regularly with internal teams, industry members and external stakeholders.
This varied position offers the opportunity to contribute to event coordination, sector activities and communication management within a dynamic European environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and organisational support to the Sector Group Manager
- Support sector management and advocacy activities
- Assist with strategic engagement on key policy topics and interactions with policymakers
- Organise meetings, conference calls and appointments
- Coordinate and arrange business travel
- Support the planning and organisation of workshops and events
- Manage task forces or sub-groups within the sector
- Prepare draft activity reports summarising communication analytics, events and publications
- Manage the sector group’s website and communication channels
- Publish news items and newsletters
- Create visuals using Canva and schedule posts on LinkedIn and Twitter via Hootsuite
- Maintain and update the membership database (Salesforce)
- Manage and organise the library of relevant information for members
Your Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Office Management or a similar field
- 3–5 years of experience in an assistant role, preferably supporting senior management
- Excellent written and spoken English (additional languages are an asset)
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Good knowledge of digital tools, website management and social media platforms
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proactive, solution-oriented and well organised
- Able to work independently while being a strong team player
- Comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Curious, flexible and eager to learn
